Microsoft redefined entertainment once again with the launch of Halo 3: ODST exclusively on the Xbox 360 platform with an all-night console-gaming event held in the city. The 12 hour, non-stop party attracted Delhi’s entertainment buffs comprising of both, a dedicated gaming gang and casual gamers who came together to be among the first in India to play the latest installment of one of the world’s best selling console video games for an evening of unbridled thrill and excitement on the big screen at PVR Premiere, Gold Class, Select CityWalk Mall (to date, more than 27 million copies of Halo games have been sold worldwide, driving more than 2 billion hours or 128,000 years of game-play by people connected to Xbox LIVE). The unsuppressed exhilaration of a Halo ODST challenge, played together with family and friends was palpable in the shouts of joy as gamers took on the increasingly challenging wave of enemies in hostile terrain and that too on 35mm.

Halo 3: ODST” is the latest game in the “Halo” saga that lets fans experience events leading up to the epic story told in “Halo 3” through the eyes of an ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper), as they search for clues leading to the whereabouts of their scattered squad and the motivations behind the Covenant’s invasion of New Mombasa. The release adds a new dimension to an all-encompassing universe that gamers around the world have known and loved for close to eight years.
